The Wychwood RS2 fly fishing reel is truly an exceptional product. Aluminium 6061-T6 was used to make the frame. The abbreviation 6061 means that aeronautical aluminum was used, while the abbreviation T6 tells us that the aluminum has undergone a heat treatment that significantly increases the wear resistance.
The drag system of the RS2 reel is a small jewel. Made with carbon washer drag it is extremely reliable and powerful, with a drag force of 4kg. With this drag system you can make very precise and sensitive adjustments, which allows you to use thin fishing leaders in complete safety.
The trio of reels available allows you to cover fly line sizes ranging from #3 to #8, adapting perfectly to most fishing situations you may encounter. Spare spools are also available in 6061-T6 aluminium. (can be purchased separately)
The design of this reel is truly unique, as are all Wychwood's products, with an anthracite-coloured finish and an "inverted spokes" frame which, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing, adds strength to the reel's structure. The case is also no less impressive, tailor-made especially for this reel.
