The RealSkin silicone strips from j:SonSweden are ideal for tying the bodies of emergers, nymphs and larvae. Simply tie the silicone strips at the rear end of your fly pattern and wrap the strip under tension overlapping to the front.
The great properties of this soft material create a deceptively real-looking insect body with the characteristic ribbing. The RealSkin strips are available in the most common natural colours and, depending on the colouring and tension when tied in, also slightly shimmer through. In the water, the material takes on a slightly shiny surface that perfectly imitates the insects' bodies.
In each RealSkin package you will find 6 silicone sheets of 24 x 200 mm. The individual sheets are pre-cut into 6 strips (2 x 2 mm, 2 x 4 mm and 2 x 6 mm) and are therefore suitable for tying fly patterns of different sizes.
