The POWER SOX are a really clever and innovative idea from the guys at Textreme. The Italian company is known for its first-class and innovative fly tying materials. The Textreme Power Thread, for example, is found as part of the basic equipment on many tying tables worldwide. It is characterised by its outstanding tensile strength and is exceptionally resistance to abrasion.
This makes this tying thread ideal not only for fly tying. The Textreme Power Thread with its special properties can also be woven into an extremely durable and resistant textile. And that, in turn, is what the outside of the POWER SOX is made of. Despite the comparatively thin fabric, these innovative socks are really tough. They can withstand even the heaviest wear and tear.
You can put these socks on as a protective layer over the neoprene socks of your waders. This prevents the inside of your wading shoe or sand and dirt from rubbing directly against the neoprene sock. With the sock as a cover the neoprene material of your waders are less likely to tear or be punctured. This way your waders will stay tight longer.
The inside of the POWER SOX is made of technical polyamide. On the one hand, this ensures an optimal fit of the socks. On the other hand, the oversocks adhere better to the neoprene socks. This means that nothing can slip, even during longer wading sessions.
Neither UV radiation nor salt water can harm the POWER SOX. Their smooth surface makes it easy to put on and take off your wading shoes. The thickness of the POWER SOX is about the same as a normal cotton sock. Wearing the sock covers are therefore not particularly bulky. So, you can wear them over your waders without any problems. You will still fit easily into your usual wading shoes. Of course, these socks also offer effective protection when wearing just fins for the belly boat.
These socks are available in two different sizes. S/M for shoe sizes 38 to 42, and L/XL for shoe sizes 43 to 48.
