The SPRING SCISSORS GOLD from Hotfly are spring scissors that are ideal for tying your artificial flies quickly and efficiently. On the one hand, you can hold these scissors in your hand during the entire tying process thanks to their slim shape. On the other hand, the 12 cm long scissors open automatically after each cut thanks to the spring mechanism of the two gold-coloured spring blades and are immediately ready for the next cut.
The straight, very pointed blade is extremely sharp and consists of a smooth as well as a micro-serrated blade. This makes these scissors ideal for precise cutting of fine fly-tying materials, but also for trimming and shaping. Because of the micro serration, fine hairs, fibres and the like cannot slip and are cut cleanly.
The outside of the two shanks is grooved. This gives the fingers a good grip, depending on how the ball of the thumb is used, and the scissors can be used comfortably without slipping. On the inside of one shank, you find a spike that can be used, for example, to clean glued hook eyes quickly and easily.
