Description

European nymph fishing, also known as Polish nymph or Czech nymph, originated in Eastern Europe during competitions and spread very quickly among the various enthusiasts because of its remarkable effectiveness. It consists of combining fairly long fly fishing rods with very light fly line for short distance fishing with more or less heavy nymphs. In these situations having a very light fly line prevents its weight from dragging the fishing leader towards you, lifting the nymphs from the bottom and making them ineffective. The longer rod compared to traditional measures allows you to be effective even at a fair distance.

This kit has been designed to practice this kind of fishing putting you in the best conditions to do it right away. The fly fishing rod Loomis & Franklin NYMPH IM12 9'6 #2/3 is very sensitive and allows you to always have a good contact with the nymphs, also has an excellent power reserve that will allow you to control even big fish.

Our choice for the reel was the IDEAL GA480 #2/3 which is essential but of excellent quality. Made of die-cast aluminum, it is equipped with a adjustable drag. The floating level line form soldarini fly tackle is already spooled on the reel, and is ultra-thin and very light (diameter 0.55mm) and as we have already seen is perfect for European nymph fishing.
