The SEMI 880 fly fishing reel is made from 6061-T6 aeronautical aluminium. This alloy undergoes two consecutive heat treatments that make the aluminium particularly strong and durable, while the final anodising protects it from wear and corrosion. Each component of this reel has been machined from a single block of aluminium using CNC machines.
The numerous holes in the reel make it very light without losing solidity to the structure, and allow the backing to dry quickly. The large arbor spool significantly reduces the memory of the line.
