Description

The cortland fly line QUICK DESCENT 24 F/S is ideal if you want to fish deep with your artificial flies. The almost 7.5 meter long sinktip is able to sink your streamers very quickly even if they are weightless. The movement of very light streamer in the water is more fluid and natural than that of heavy streamer, and this gives you a few more chances to catch some nice fish. The sinktip of this fly line is level 6, which means that in stagnant water it sinks at a speed of 6 inches per second (15cm per second), and is a very high sinking rate, capable of bringing your imitations to depth in a short time.

The combination of a floating fly line with a sinktip allows you to always have perfect line control unlike fly fishing with a fully sinking line. The WF (weight forward) profile has an unbalanced weight at the front and this allows you to make very long and precise casts even in windy conditions, reaching considerable distances even when using voluminous streamers.

It is possible to use the cortland fly line QUICK DESCENT 24 F/S both in fresh and salt water. Thanks to its particular profile it is able to load the rod very well reducing false casts to a minimum. This is very useful especially if you have little space behind you to extend the line, but also because it avoids the risk that it becomes too heavy when trying to reach long distances.

The running line is floating, and runs extremely smoothly through the rod guides. At the extremity there is a practical buttonhole that simplifies and speeds up the connection to the fishing leader.
